Alongside with maple syrup, pine trees, and snow, Mary Azarian’s signature woodblock prints are one of northern New England’s most enduring totems.  From her Caldecott Medal-winning illustrations for Snowflake Bentley to her Farmer’s & Gardener’s alphabets, Azarian’s work is both shaped by and definitive of life in the great North Woods.

July 1-30: NIGHT SKIES

Bangor photographer Sarah Sorg presents her ethereal images of the night sky in this atmospheric show of raw power.  Contextualizing ideas of time and space, and juxtaposing the perfection of the eternal sidereal world with the messiness of our own transitory one,  her images are simple, but profound.
