Singers Workshop at the Denmark Arts Center

The Singers Workshop is a weekly 2-hour session directed by Lillian Lee Morse where one can learn to sing well individually or in a group, and to communicate with the listener effectively through a sound vocal technique. Accompanying the singers on piano, she teaches, coaches, and stages the performances. The sessions are open to adults of any age, and include those teenagers willing to comply with the demands of the practice routine. Meeting every Monday evening 6:30-8:30, with different levels on alternate weeks, the cost is $10 per session. The Singers Workshop's annual Valentine Cabaret and Red'n Gold Cabaret Show have found great popularity over the past 5 years, attracting regular audiences from the surrounding Maine and New Hampshire communities.

Director Lillian Lee Morse is a voice teacher, with degrees from New England and Boston Conservatories, and a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing. She has performed in opera, musical theatre, concertized and toured with her deceased brother, concert pianist Alfred Lee. After being on the Boston Conservatory Voice Faculty for over 25 years, she now teaches for Mt. Top Music Center in North Conway, directs various broadway musicals, and teaches from her private studio in Denmark.
