ART MAKING

Mon, July 11 - Fri. July 15 9am - 12:30pm, $50
Join artist Kumi Yamashita for an exploration of the “work” of art. Using simple, universal techniques such as collage, rock-painting, rubbings, and potato stamps, Kumi will guide students through the creative process, letting simple means grow into complex expressions.  Don’t miss this chance to work with one of New York’s up-and-coming talents! Suitable for kids aged 8-14.

Kumi Yamashita received her Masters in Fine Arts from Glasgow School of Arts. Her work is in collections and museums all over the world.  She has won numerous awards and grants, including the 2003 Pollock/Krasner fellowship.
