Pihcintue Multi-National Girl's Chorus-Saturday, May 3 at 5p

“What a gorgeous, gorgeous chorus you have – what beautiful voices … isn’t it incredible – BRAVO!” Bono

"A big thank you to you and the choir for inspiring all of us at last night’s event. The performance was absolutely beautiful and certainly left everyone in the room feeling uplifted. I and the rest of the organization were so very moved." YoYo Ma

Please stay afterwards to share conversation, food and drink with our guests and each other~thank you to Denmark Arts Center Board of Directors for the night’s nourishment.

Pihcintu, pronounced 'B-chin-too,' is a Passamaquoddy word meaning, “When she sings, her voice carries far.”

SPRING CLEAN UP VOLUNTEER DAY

April showers bring clean up days at the DAC! Saturday, April 26 9-12 or 1-4 or Tuesday, April 29 9-12 or 5-8pm. Tasks vary from outdoor clean up to packing and stacking holiday items, staining rails to good old fashion floor mopping ... oh and did i say cleaning bathrooms? We got it all. Thanks for helping Denmark Arts Center look good for their opening performance on May 3rd with the free Pichintu Concert and a Community potluck provided.

Thank you Bloomin' 4 Good for your donation!

If you think Denmark Art Center 'cleans up nice' it is due to the generous help of The Betterment Fund, Maine Community Foundation, Hayes Ace Hardware, and Clean Slate Mobile Blasting!

Lead abatement and 3 fresh coats of paint adorned DAC last fall. This spring the front windows are being restored with care by Jeff Kinsley of Clean Slate Mobile Blasting. "The work Jeff is doing is time-consuming, detailed, and keeping with the building's historical reference, the end results are gorgeous.

Comfy Chair Campaign

It feels good to visit other concert halls and arts centers to see all the good work they are doing AND realizing what a good seat can feel like!

The Simmons Foundation, Robert & Dorothy Goldberg Foundation and you helped DAC purchase 30 chairs and 4 tables in 2024. DAC is 1/2 way there to making your next visit a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Come join us on May 3 for our first concert of the season and feel how good it is to be Back at the DAC!

You can buy a chair toward 2025's campaign to help provide the remainder of the chairs!
