From a bee in search of a Queen to an absurd encounter with a puppet, it’s an evening guaranteed to keep you laughing! Directed by Stan Burgoyne and starring Robert Libbey and Lynne McGhee.
Robert Libbey has spent the last 20 years in NYC working in the arts and public policy as a Chief Financial Officer. His roots are in theatre and broadcasting, having spent many years as an Emmy Award winning TV producer at Maine Public Television. Prior to that he appeared as an actor at Theatre at Monmouth, Penobscot Theatre, Acadia Repertory Theatre and Ten Bucks Theatre Company. He’s a graduate of the University of Maine Theatre Department and also has a master’s degree in accounting from Bernard Baruch College.
Lynne McGhee is happy to be back at The Denmark Arts Center after previously performing her original shows, Back to the Drawing Board and Dead Girls: The Musical! Lynne is currently working on the Gala opening of Good Theater in I’ll Drink to That, performing with Broadway veterans Valerie Perri (Evita) and George Dvorsky (The Scarlet Pimpernel). She is also in rehearsals for I’ll Eat You Last- A Chat with Sue Mengers by John Larson, a side splitting comedy solo show (performed by Bette Midler on Broadway) at Good Theater at Stevens Square August 7-10! Lynne is a member of Actors Equity Association and SAG-AFTRA and has performed with The Portland Symphony, Maine State Music Theater, and Portland Stage as well as writing and producing her own cabaret and theater pieces. Lynne is also a graduate of the University of Maine Theater Department. (The last time Bob and Lynne performed on stage together was in UMO’s production of The Music Man where Lynne played Marion, and Bob, Mayor Shinn!)
