ART OPENING WITH PHOEBE BLY FRIDAY, JULY 17 5-7PM

Phoebe Bly grew up in Maine during the 70s and 80s, in a large family of ‘back to the land” parents. Until ten, they lived in a small cabin without running water or electricity. Phoebe spent most of her time outside, which gave her a huge appreciation of nature, and is the subject of a lot of her work.

“While I paint a variety of subjects, they need to strike me on a visceral level in order to catch my interest. I’m a self-taught painter, so I’ve had to find my own mechanism for articulate expression and often the only thing that carried me through was a deep love for the subject and a desire to do it justice. observe, reflect and respond to the nature of paint, subject, and self is painting.”

Food and beverages compliments of Hannaford & National Distributors. Phoebe’s show will run from 7/17-8/30/26.
